Daylight Saving

Most of North America and Europe shift their clocks forward in the Spring and backward in the Autumn. Some parts of the US and Canada do not observe Daylight Saving Time, such as the state of Arizona (US) and the province Saskatchewan (Canada).

Daylight Saving Time begins for most of the North America at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of April. Time reverts to standard time at 2 a.m. on the last Sunday of October. In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.

In the European Union, Summer Time begins and ends at 1 am Universal Time (Greenwich Mean Time). It starts the last Sunday in March, and ends the last Sunday in October. In the EU, all time zones change at the same moment.

If you leave the Daylight Saving checkbox selected, the shift to and from daylight savings will be handled automatically as per the North American standard. If you do not want this daylight saving shift, uncheck the box.
